Hydrogen peroxide intravenous infusions

Treatment for disease:rheumatoid arthritis

In the United States, 23% of all adults—over 54 million people—have arthritis. About 24 million adults are limited in their activities from arthritis, and more than 1 in 4 adults with arthritis report severe joint pain. Rheumatoid arthritis in simple words is the more advanced and painful form of arthritis.

About this treatment

Charles H. Farr, M.D., Ph.D., a prominent figure in oxidative medicine, significantly advanced the use of intravenous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) therapy from the late 1970s. He challenged traditional medical views, advocating for the efficacy of alternative treatments in improving the health of chronically ill patients. Farr recommended H2O2 for a broad range of conditions, including respiratory illnesses, viral infections, chronic diseases, and neurological disorders. He emphasized the safety of this therapy, noting minimal toxicity even with multiple, high-concentration infusions. His work led to a reevaluation of hydrogen peroxide's role in medical treatment, highlighting its potential in various metabolic and immune functions.

Full treatment description

Intravenous hydrogen peroxide therapy is regarded by some in the alternative and integrative medicine community as a highly effective treatment. Interest in this approach first surged in the 1960s with experiments on its use in humans and animals. These studies explored its potential for enhancing oxygenation in specific areas, aiming to make tumors more susceptible to radiation therapy. However, this interest faded by the 1970s, as evidenced by the lack of further research and clinical application during that time.

Since the late 1970s, a niche group of medical practitioners has championed the use of intravenous hydrogen peroxide for various health issues. Much of their conviction stems from the work of Charles H. Farr, MD, PhD (1927-1998), often hailed as the pioneer of oxidative medicine. Dr. Farr's work highlighted the metabolic benefits of intravenous hydrogen peroxide and he extensively documented his findings in a comprehensive workbook. He posited that due to its role in oxidation processes and its presence in various metabolic pathways, hydrogen peroxide is integral to many bodily functions, including metabolism and immunity.

Dr. Farr considered hydrogen peroxide as a central regulatory molecule in the body, influencing various metabolic functions. His notable study during the 1989–1990 influenza season demonstrated significant benefits of intravenous hydrogen peroxide in reducing work absence in patients with Type A/Shanghai influenza.

Driven by his successful use of hydrogen peroxide infusions and his keen observations, Dr. Farr also experimented with direct injections for various ailments. He founded and directed the International Bio-Oxidative Medical Foundation (IBOMF) and its affiliate, the International Oxidative Medicine Association (IOMA), spreading his knowledge through conferences and publications. After Dr. Farr's death in 1998, these organizations merged with the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) under the umbrella of "Oxidative Medicine."

Dr. Farr was known for conducting seminars and providing resources on oxidative therapies to medical professionals and patients. He believed that alternative treatment protocols could significantly improve the health of chronically ill patients within a short timeframe, challenging the conventional reliance on double-blind studies as the gold standard in medicine.

His recommendations for hydrogen peroxide usage were extensive, covering a wide range of conditions from influenza to chronic diseases and neurological disorders. Dr. Farr emphasized the safety of his hydrogen peroxide regimen, noting minimal acute or long-term toxicity even after numerous infusions.

In summary, Dr. Farr's advocacy for intravenous hydrogen peroxide therapy was based on its ability to oxygenate tissues, combat various pathogens, and stimulate the immune system, making it a versatile treatment for a range of medical conditions.

In 1998, Charles Farr made a bold statement challenging the traditional medical reliance on double-blind studies. He asserted that alternative treatment methods, particularly within a six-month period, could notably improve the health of chronically ill patients, regardless of their specific diagnoses.

Dr. Farr advocated the use of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for a wide array of health issues, ranging from common ailments like influenza and bronchitis to more complex conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, various viral infections, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and immune system dysfunctions. He also claimed that hydrogen peroxide therapy could positively impact conditions like hypothyroidism, clear arterial plaques, offer cardiac protection, intervene in severe cardiac and cerebral events, and even target cancer cells. He regarded intravenous hydrogen peroxide infusion as a critical tool for physicians.

Farr emphasized the safety of his hydrogen peroxide treatment approach, noting the absence of significant acute toxic reactions in patients, even those who underwent numerous infusions at higher concentrations. He also reported no observable long-term toxicity following extended treatment periods. This, according to Farr, demonstrated the exceptional safety and broad therapeutic potential of hydrogen peroxide infusions. He believed that as physicians gained experience with this therapy, they would tailor their own treatment protocols to align with their practice and patient needs.

Farr's experience indicated that intravenous hydrogen peroxide infusions could rapidly alleviate a variety of pathological conditions, including infections, allergic reactions, and flu syndromes, without the need for additional treatments. He observed that this approach was not limited to any specific patient group or disease classification. The therapy's ability to oxygenate toxic tissues, combat a range of pathogens, and boost the immune system, made it a versatile option for treating numerous health conditions.

Example hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) procedure

Here is one example procedure from Hidden Therapies II book, by Jerzy Zięba:

How are these infusions made?

  1. Only use 30% perhydrol, preferably a special pharmaceutical one
  2. To the prepared volume of perhydrol (30%), add the same amount of sterile water to obtain a 15% solution
  3. The resulting solution should be filtered using a 0.22 micron filter
  4. This solution, preferably in volumes of 100 ml, should be kept in the refrigerator until required for use. Prepare 100 ml of a 5% solution of dextrose in water. Adding ¼ ml of a pre-prepared 15% solution to every 100 ml of dextrose solution will result in a 0.0375% solution. The most common concentrations are 0.04% to 0.06% (hundredths of a percent).
  5. Add 500 mg of DMSO (dimethyl sulphoxide) for each 1 ml of previously prepared 15% solution.
  6. Feed rate of 50-60 drops per minute.

It is a procedure proven for 60 years, in one of the American clicks, about 80,000 infusions have been given so far without registering any serious side effects. In this way, infusions were administered even at a concentration of 0.15% in a volume of 250ml.

The highest metabolic intensity begins after about 13 minutes.

The frequency of infusions depends on the severity of the disease and must be adjusted individually while observing the body.
